In 2003, United Way of Southern Nevada led the first-ever comprehensive study to discover the true state of our community in regards to health, human services, education and more.

The results were telling.

The 2003 Southern Nevada Community Assessment’s findings identified healthcare, education and financial stability as our community’s most pressing needs.

United Way of Southern Nevada is looking to the results of the Community Assessment as the foundation for our future and has created three Impact Areas to mobilize the community to create sustained change.

Access to Healthcare
Commitment to Education
Financial Stability Partnership

To address each of these three areas of concern, we’ve created three Impact Councils whose sole focus is to identify and address the root causes of issues surrounding the three Impact Areas.

Community leaders, stakeholders, policy makers and volunteers, are now working together to create local initiatives that will deliver measurable, lasting change to improve lives in Southern Nevada.
