Earn It Keep It Save It
Provides free tax return preparation and assistance with claiming the Earned Income Tax Credit. A collaborative effort between United Way and the Internal Revenue Service, local businesses and organizations.
 
Help Hope Home
Prevents homelessness and helps individuals and families move towards self-sufficiency through transitional and permanent housing, mental health and treatment services, employment training, and job placement.
Kids & Cops
Fosters positive relationships between law enforcement and local youth. Funded by MGM Resorts Foundation, police officers distribute McDonalds® and Walmart® vouchers to youth in need of immediate assistance.
 
Nevada 2-1-1
2-1-1 is an easy to remember, three-digit number that connects people in need with essential health and human services seven days a week. Planning and development was made possible through funding from the State of Nevada.
 
Project REACH
Project REACH or Relief through Energy Assistance to Prevent Customer Hardships is a program funded primarily by NV Energy with a grant from Harrah's Entertainment to help vulnerable adults over the age of 62 years, medically fragile or Reserve and National Guard members with annual energy payment assistance.
Success By 6®
Works with and supports local agencies serving families with children from birth to six years of age to ensure they enter school ready to learn. A United Way of Southern Nevada early childhood initiative funded by Boyd Gaming Corporation.
 
Volunteer Center of Southern Nevada
Actively engages community members to work hand-in-hand with nonprofit organizations to foster a strong and vibrant southern Nevada. Builds civic leadership and deepens civic investment in collaboration with local, diverse service organizations, corporations and community members.
 

GRANTS
 
Assistance to Military Families Fund
Ensures that families of deployed military who are in need of services–beyond what military benefits and programs provide–are able to access local health and human services programs. Funded by United Way of Southern Nevada.
Early Child Care and Education
Provides $199,000 in training for child care providers and an apprenticeship program for novice early care and education teachers. Federally funded.
 
Emergency Food & Shelter Program
Provides 21 local agencies with more than $1.5 million in food, shelter, rent and utility assistance. Funded by the U.S. Congress.
 
Fire & Burn Victims Support Fund
Supports fire victims through the American Red Cross and Lion’s Burn Care Center at University Medical Center. Funded by a United Way of Southern Nevada endowment.
Making Access Possible (MAP)
Supports two agency partners providing medical and dental care with case management to uninsured and underinsured children throughout Southern Nevada. Funded by the State of Nevada.
 
Southern Nevada Child Care Program
Subsidizes childcare for approximately 5,000 Clark County children, allowing qualified parents to work, pursue job training and further their education. United Way serves as the fiduciary agent for an allocation of more than $20 million. Funded by the State of Nevada.
