Help Hope Home

The Help Hope Home Initiative is a coordinated regional approach to addressing and preventing homelessness in southern Nevada. This approach is balanced, focusing on accountability and service delivery. Through transitional and permanent housing, mental health and treatment services, and employment training and job placement, we are working to decrease the cost of homelessness while helping individuals and families move to self-sufficiency.

The Help Hope Home initiative is anchored by a 10 Point Plan which was approved in June of 2005 by the Southern Nevada Regional Planning Coalition and its Committee on Homelessness. Further, the City of Las Vegas authored a Ten Year Plan to End Homelessness specifically identifying their goals as they relate to the 10 Point Plan.

Immediate Support Services

Your gift assists those who wish to change their lives and ensures that day-to-day support is available without interruption.

Support includes services such as:

Ensured availability of basic needs services to reduce the need for crisis services and frequent interventions
Aggressive outreach to those living on the streets and/or in shelters that would otherwise not seek assistance
Increased access and availability of medical, dental and vision care
Clinical assessment and referral for medical treatment of mental health and substance abuse treatment programs

Transition Initiatives

Once basic needs are met, individuals are ready for the next step in their transition from homelessness. Your gift supports programs which are focused on self-sufficiency.

Programs include:

Case management and rehabilitation
Stable transitional and permanent residential assistance
Educational training and job placement

Long-Term Housing Endowment

This fund supports the design and development of affordable housing projects and initiatives throughout southern Nevada.
