65th Anniversary Team UWSN Spotlight | Julie Houchins

As we celebrate 65 years of serving the Southern Nevada community, we also want to celebrate our staff and the impact they have across the valley. Meet our Senior Director of Early Education, Julie Houchins! She’s been at UWSN for almost 6 years ensuring that children and families have access to quality care and education. Her work goes beyond schooling, Julie works with many high-quality childcare providers to assist in training and technical assistance for early childhood educators and administrators.

Julie’s favorite memory working with UWSN is visiting the Nevada Legislature to speak on behalf of children and families in Nevada around the importance of early education to ensure funding for early education programs. Her goal for UWSN is to support our local partners to guide young children to become successful and lifelong learners! Continue reading below to learn about Julie’s Las Vegas favorites!
