Bob Morgan Named United Way of Southern Nevada President & CEO
Through a thorough search process, the United Way of Southern Nevada (UWSN) Presidential Search Committee is pleased to announce the appointment of Bob Morgan as President & CEO of United Way of Southern Nevada.
“Out of the 76 candidates that the Presidential Search Committee screened, Bob’s strategic experience in growing United Way of Buffalo & Erie County coupled with his preparation and entrepreneurial drive set him apart,” said Don Gibe, Chair of the UWSN Presidential Search Committee. “He will lead United Way of Southern Nevada forward during this crucial time of doing more for our community.”
During a President & CEO Welcome Reception last week hosted by UNLV, Dr. Len Jessup welcomed Bob along with United Way’s Community Champions and event sponsors including UNLV, Cox Communications and NV Energy.
As the Chief Operating Officer for United Way of Buffalo & Erie County, Bob was instrumental in the turnaround and transformation of this organization. After ten years of declining revenue, working with the President and the Board, Bob helped to grow this organization into a highly successful United Way. After five years of positive growth, this organization is now making a difference through its Community Impact Model.
With a focus on collective impact, Bob will collaborate with UWSN supporters and actively engage the community to create measurable results.
“The strength of United Way of Southern Nevada is the collective impact of over 300 companies, 6,500 volunteers and 21,000 donors joining together to create outcomes that we all care about,” said Bob. “Join the movement, capture the momentum and let’s move our community to new heights together.”
