11.13.18 The Business of Caring: A Nonprofit Panel Discussion

The Henderson Chamber of Commerce will host its monthly networking breakfast November 13. It will include the panel discussion "The Business of Caring,” with representativess from three nonprofits. It will run from 7 to 9 a.m. at Sunset Station. For more information, click here.

11.15.18 Fighting for Families Benefit

The Red Shoe Society invites you to an elegant evening of give back at the UFC Performance Institute! There will be UFC fighter appearances, music, a raffle, and networking. Open bar and all-inclusive food packages are available. Proceeds benefit families with sick or injured children who depend upon the Ronald McDonald House Charities of Greater Las Vegas. 11.17.18 Las Vegas Urban League Super Saturday

FREE early education trainings are available through the Las Vegas Urban League. All trainings are held at the LVUL Early Childhood Connection Main Office (2470 N. Decatur Blvd, Ste. 150, Las Vegas, NV 89108). Participants must register at least 48 hours in advances to attend scheduled trainings by calling the training department at 702.473.9400, extensions 445, 416, 415, or 469. Participants can also register by completing and submitting this form to the training department via email ECCTrainingProgram@lvul.org or by dropping off at the main office. 

11.17.18 Nevada Public Radio Recycle Day

Join Nevada Public Radio next weekend on Saturday, November 17 from 8am-noon for the bi-annual Recycle Day event! Safely dispose of electronics, confidential documents, all your co-mingled recyclables and donate gently-used items. For more information, click here.

You are invited to attend a special benefit concert hosted by Phil Varone and Las Vegas Music Scene Has a Heart. All proceeds will go to Prevent Child Abuse Nevada. Join us for raffles, surprises and special guests at Count's Vamp'd from 7 pm - 2 am.

11.17.18 Las Vegas Fall Art Event and Auction

Artists will display and sell their work to help raise awareness for cancer issues at the American Cancer Society Cancer Action Network Fall Art Event and Auction at The Caring Place, 3711 E. Sunset Road from 11 am - 3 pm. There will be a silent auction of donated artwork from talented Nevada artists, children's interactive art activities and coloring book author reading, pictures with a race car and driver, a children's art exhibit, live music and a live painting exhibition, and food trucks on-site. 

Through 11.19.18 City of Las Vegas Toys for Tickets

The Las Vegas City Council approved a Toys For Tickets program that will allow those issued non-public safety parking tickets by the city’s Parking Services Division to pay their fine by donating toys in lieu of paying parking ticket fines. The program allows those issued tickets between November 1 and November 19 to make a donation instead of paying a fine. If your ticket qualifies, information will be included with your parking citation. City of Las Vegas Parking Enforcement will collect the donations and will present the supplies to the Salvation Army, which supplies 4,000 local kids with toys each holiday season.
