Lucky Duck Family Festival is an annual event that raises money to cover healthcare costs for medically fragile children and their families in Southern Nevada. Donors “adopt” a duck for a minimum of $5. Each duck has a unique number associated with it. Ducks are plucked from the pond the day of the event for donors to have an opportunity to win truly fabulous prizes. Come to the Springs Preserve for the 10th Annual Step Up for Kids Event, Celebrating Children’s Day in Nevada on Monday, September 25th from 3 to 7pm. There will be free food, live entertainment, ice cream, animals, games, face painting, raffle prizes, a resource fair, and much more. The first 100 people will receive a FREE T-shirt and Passes to Springs Preserve Museums. This event is free and open to the public. Day of Caring is our largest, one-day community-wide volunteer event promoting and celebrating the spirit and value of volunteering, increasing awareness of our local community needs and collaborating efforts of impact through corporate groups and individuals. Last year, over 1,000 volunteers came together at 23 nonprofit agencies and 16 Clark County schools to complete 93 volunteer projects and make an impact across Southern Nevada. The 7th annual “Cheers to Chocolate” to benefit Easterseals Nevada will be held September 29 at The District at Green Valley Ranch. Nevada PEP is leading the movement against bullying. Once again we are partnering with the National Bullying Prevention Center in Minnesota. This year the 7th Annual Run Walk Roll Against Bullying event will be on Saturday, September 30th on the campus of UNLV. The Run Walk Roll, a 5K Fun Run and a 1.5 mile Fun Walk, is a family event with great raffle prizes, fun face painting, and some very popular mascots all promoting bullying prevention. You are invited to the 6th annual Healthy Kids Festival September 30, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m, at the Walnut Rec Center. Each agency will provide interactive, hands-on experiences for children who visit their activity stations where a bingo-like game card is stamped. Join the Ronald McDonald House Charities (RMHC) of Greater Las Vegas on September 30th for our UNLV Tailgate before the Rebels football team plays San Jose State put on by our very own Red Shoe Society – young professionals group. Note: the tailgate will start two hours before the game. The time of the game will be announced on September 18th. Tickets are $20 each and include: wristband for entry to tailgate, food & beverages (alcoholic and non-alcoholic), games, raffle prizes, and entry to the game. 10.27.17 3rd Annual CenturyLink Trunk or Treat benefiting United Way of Southern Nevada
CenturyLink presents the 3rd Annual CenturyLink Trunk or Treat benefiting United Way of Southern Nevada on October 27 from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. at the CenturyLink parking (3436 Aldebaran Ave. at Spring Mountain Road and the I-15). Trunk or Treat will feature activities for the whole family including carnival games, bounce houses, face painting, a hay maze and a few other surprises. Vehicles from community organizations will be onsite and families will enjoy “trunk-or-treating” through decorated car trunks filled with treats from dozens of community partners. Snacks will be available for purchase and there will be booths showcasing local businesses. All of the proceeds from this event will benefit United Way of Southern Nevada.

Angel’s Power Ltd. is hosting a haunted house on 10/28 thru 10/31 from 7 -10 pm at 600 Palmhurst Drive, Las Vegas, NV 89145. 11.3.17 United Way of Southern Nevada Women's Leadership Council Women's Fall Suit Drive
Hosted by the United Way of Southern Nevada’s Women’s Leadership Council, the annual one-day suit drive on Friday, November 3, 2017 from 7 a.m. – 2 p.m. collects suits and other business attire for women in need. The drive helps women prepare for career opportunities and gain confidence to succeed during job interviews and in the workplace. Last year’s drive collected an incredible 11,359 professional items including suits, dresses, shoes, handbags and jewelry. Donations will benefit United Way partner agencies with back to work programs for women. Drive-through donations can be made at the parking lot of NV Energy, 6226 W. 11.27.17 Swing for the Kids Golf Tournament
Swing for the Kids Golf Tournament is an annual event hosted by Foundation for Positively Kids. Golfers will play an 18-hole, shot-gun start tournament with a “poker run” at TPC Summerlin starting at 8 am. Tournament winner will be decided by the best POKER hand. Golfers will receive a card at the practice tee and holes 5, 8, 14, and 17 with the opportunity to purchase extra cards for $20. Golfers will play their own ball.
