Inspirational Women United Luncheon Fashion Show Empowers Local Women
Over 500 Attendees Enjoy Zappos for Good Fashion Show and “Sip & Shop”

LAS VEGAS- Over 500 local leaders joined United Way of Southern Nevada and Women United for the fashion and shopping event of the season during the 12th Annual Luncheon Fashion Show on Friday, March 6, 2020. Celebrating the impact of local female leaders, proceeds of the event help forge pathways out of poverty for local women, children, families and individuals in Southern Nevada.

“We were incredibly proud to see the outpouring of support from our local community leaders, corporate supporters and volunteers,” said United Way of Southern Nevada President and CEO Kyle B. Rahn. “United, we are everything and we invite women across the valley to join us and provide cradle to career support for those who need it most!”

Attendees previewed new spring fashions and had the opportunity to purchase evening, athletic, leisure and business clothing, shoes and accessories during the innovative Zappos for Good Fashion Show and exclusive “Sip & Shop.” Sponsored by Zappos For Good, NV Energy, BreakThru Beverage, Las Vegas Athletic Club, Las Vegas Review-Journal, Las Vegas Women Magazine, MJ Christensen Diamonds, Bank of America, East West Bank, Golden Entertainment and South Point Hotel, Casino & Spa; guests had the opportunity to win over $31,000 in raffle prizes.

Since its inception, Women United has contributed to UWSN initiatives to make a direct impact in our community. Women United provides support for UWSN’s seven funded partners, including Sunrise Children’s Foundation, Girls on the Run Las Vegas, Las Vegas – Clark County Library District Foundation, Nevada Health Centers, Leaders in Training, Fulfillment Fund Las Vegas and Foundation for an Independent Tomorrow.

Women United members are dedicated to supporting emerging female leaders in Southern Nevada and empowering girls from a young age. Through the support of Women United, 8 young women have received college scholarships and 572 girls have built confidence and self-worth through Girls on the Run.

Annually, Women United collects over thousands of items of professional clothing at their suit drive for local women’s back-to-work programs. In total, Women United members have committed over 6,500 volunteer hours through events like the Suit Drive. In addition to making a difference in our community, Women United provides various engagement opportunities and social events for its members.

By uniting diverse and compassionate women in our community, Women United is leading the charge and inspiring the change in Southern Nevada.
