New Staff Introductions

We are so grateful for all of your contributions and continued support of United Way of Southern Nevada. Through your dedication and generosity you impact the lives of thousands of children and families every day.  As we continue to build a strong team, I would like to share some exciting new additions that will bolster our donor engagement team.

Angel Williams will be leading our efforts as the Vice President of Donor Engagement. As the Vice President of Donor Engagement, Angel will lead United Way’s comprehensive annual fundraising campaign involving corporations, foundations and individuals. In her role she will also oversee United Way’s Leader Networks including the Tocqueville Society, Women’s Leadership Council and Young Philanthropists Society. Previously, Angel served as the Chief Development Officer for Boys & Girls Clubs of Southern Nevada where she was responsible for all fundraising and donor engagement strategies. Angel has also served as United Way’s Women’s Leadership Council co-chair and has supported United Way since 2012.

Nelson Araujo has recently transitioned to the donor engagement team as our Senior Director of Tocqueville Society and Major Gifts. Prior to making this transition, Nelson was a part of our community development department and helped lead our organization’s collective impact and diversity efforts.

Nelson Araujo and Lawrel Larsen will join forces to strengthen the collective power of the Tocqueville Society, Women’s Leadership Council and Young Philanthropists Society to make a greater impact in our community. Our team will also have the support of Jackie Martinez and Gina Rodriguez. Jackie will continue to assist those Tocqueville Society members who have a Community Investment Account with United Way of Southern Nevada. Gina will provide support to the entire Major Gifts team.

Over the next several weeks, our team will be reaching out directly to you to schedule a one-on-one meeting to get to know you better and share the impact of your support to United Way. However if you would like to schedule a meeting today, simply click here and we will make sure to coordinate a meeting as soon as possible.

Thank you for allowing me to share these exciting updates with you. In fact, in my excitement to share, you’ll find this same announcement in your mailbox too, just to make sure all are informed.

Once again, we deeply value your investment in Southern Nevada and we look forward to working with you to move our community forward!
