The Asian Night Market will run from 5 to 9 p.m. on October 19 to showcase local Asian and Pacific Islander restaurants and businesses. The event is free to the public, with all dishes $7 or less. 10.20.18 Foundation for an Independent Tomorrow's 21st Annual Notte Di Carnevale

We are planning a terrific evening beginning with classic cocktails and a stellar champagne reception and Silent Auction, followed by a sumptuous dinner prepared by award winning Chefs with specially selected wines and live entertainment. This year’s Civitas Laurel Honoree is Michael Bolognini, Vice President & Las Vegas Market Leader for Cox Communications and also Chairman of the Las Vegas Metro Chamber of Commerce. 10.20.18 Friends of Nevada Wilderness Wild & Scenic Film Festival

Friends of Nevada Wilderness will host their 6th annual Wild & Scenic Film Festival at Zappo's Campus in downtown Las Vegas on October 20. The Community Fair will start at 3:00, with food trucks, giveaways, music and more. Films begin at 5:00. There will be 12 short films, each focusing on a subject that relates to nature, conservation, and/or outdoor recreation. 10.20.18 Skye Canyon Chalktober Fest

Skye Canyon's Chalktober Fest on October 20 will have artists compete in the art competition, artwork in the vendor village, and a chance for you to make your own masterpieces in the freestyle chalk art area.  Also, music, activities for the kids, food, and craft beer. 10.24.18 2018 Mayors Prayer Breakfast: An Event Celebrating our Unity and Diversity

The 2018 Mayors Prayer Breakfast, a community-building event, encourages unity, diversity and the development of leadership skills for Las Vegas youth, and will take place at 7:30 a.m. on Wednesday, October 24, 2018 at Texas Station Gambling Hall & Hotel. The event includes mayors reading ecumenical prayers, an interfaith candle lighting ceremony, a keynote speech by Kerry Bubolz, President and Chief Operations Officer of the Vegas Golden Knights, and a special performance by the Green Valley Madrigal Singers. Following the breakfast, more than 400 students and representatives from 40 high schools across the city will have the opportunity to ask questions of local mayors and Clark County School District Deputy Superintendent Diane Gullett in a town hall meeting format. 10.26.18 Trick-or-Treat at Marvel's Avengers S.T.A.T.I.O.N

On Nevada Day, local families are invited to trick-or-treat through the attraction during operating hours from 10 am - 7 pm. There is no school for CCSD students, and a portion of the proceeds from all tickets and retail sales for the day will benefit the Clark County School District's S.T.E.M. education initiatives. Admission for locals is half-price the regular ticket price for adults and children, with children under 3 free (Must show Nevada State I.D.) Children are encouraged to dress up as their favorite superhero, however all costumes are welcome. All trick-or-treaters will receive a special Marvel’s Avengers S.T.A.T.I.O.N. bag to put all of their goodies in as they visit each exhibit room throughout the attraction. 11.2.18 Women's Leadership Council Fall Suit Drive

Donate your women's suits and professional items! United Way of Southern Nevada’s Women’s Leadership Council encourages the entire community to participate and donate new and gently-used, clean professional attire including suits, dresses, pants and tops on hangers and jewelry, shoes, belts, scarves and handbags to assist women in need. The drive helps women prepare for career opportunities and gain confidence to succeed during an interview and in the workplace. Donations will benefit Dress for Success of Southern Nevada, Goodwill Career Connections, HopeLink of Southern Nevada, S.A.F.E. House, SafeNest, The Shade Tree, and Work Opportunities Readiness Center of HELP of Southern Nevada. Drive through donations can be in the parking lot of NV Energy, 6226 W. The Walk to Defeat ALS is the #1 way to unite and fundraise for those living with ALS.
