As a college student from humble means, I believe in the value of a quality education to transform a life.  I’m a graduating senior at UNLV studying Business Economics, and I am interning here at UWSN with the Social Innovation team. I am impressed by the quality of the people and programs here, and I get to add to it in a meaningful way. I’m thrilled that I am now contributing to a project aimed at improving academic achievement among the most economically vulnerable in town.

Women’s Leadership Council Fall Suit Drive, Nov. 4

United Way of Southern Nevada’s Women’s Leadership Council (WLC) will host its 9th Annual “Women’s Fall Suit Drive” from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Friday, November 4 at the NV Energy parking lot at 6226 W. Sahara Ave.

WLC is collecting new and gently-used, clean professional attire including suits, dresses, pants and tops on hangers and jewelry, shoes, belts, scarves and handbags to assist women in need. The drive helps women prepare for career opportunities and gain confidence to succeed during an interview and in the workplace.
