Meet our Marketing Intern, Maricella Mojaddidi-Brambila! Marii is a senior at the University of Nevada Las Vegas pursuing a degree in Journalism and Media Studies with a concentration in public relations and social media. Marii has given back at local nonprofits for many years and was inspired to intern with United Way because of her love for our nonprofit community in Southern Nevada.
Maricella shared more about what inspired her to join our team, “I wanted to combine my love for nonprofits and marketing into one! I chose UWSN to help those in need because I have been in their shoes before, and I know how rough it can be. UWSN is very passionate about their work, and I want to surround myself with individuals that have that same drive as me.” Learn more about Maricella and her experience joining Team UWSN below!
I work with the marketing team helping create content, promoting campaigns and events, tracking analytics and contributing ideas wherever I can.
I enjoy every moment of my internship, but my favorite has to be me being able to interact with the marketing team and be able to build a learning experience that I can carry on with me in my future.
I absolutely love nature, hiking and camping are my favorite! Surprisingly there are quite a few places here in Las Vegas. I go to Mount Charleston, Red Rock Canyon, Valley of Fire, and to other smaller places I have encountered.
I am Mexican and Afghan, a mixture that isn’t really heard of. I love both of my cultures and I am very proud of them; it has been interesting growing up with both.
