United Way of Southern Nevada Announces the Appointments of Elaina Mulé and Angel Williams

United Way of Southern Nevada (UWSN) is proud to announce the appointments of Elaina Mulé as Vice President of Collective Impact and Social Innovation and Angel Williams as the Vice President of Donor Engagement.

“With a rich background in leveraging research and collective impact strategies to create lasting community change, Elaina will help move United Way forward as we leverage the power of our more than 20,000 donors, 6,500 volunteers, 300 companies and 400 nonprofit organizations,” said Bob Morgan, UWSN President and CEO.

As the Vice President of Collective Impact and Social Innovation, Mulé will collaborate with UWSN community partners and actively engage the community to create measurable results. She will help mobilize the community to make effective collective decisions through the use of information, research and data.

Mulé has an M.S. in Industrial and Labor Relations with concentrations in Labor Economics and International & Comparative Labor from Cornell University. She brings a strong foundation to create strategies that will help move people out of poverty.

In her previous role at United Way of Buffalo & Erie County, Mulé directed research projects and helped to create a highly successful Community Report Card Series, which was instrumental in building awareness for community issues and shaping strategies to help solve those issues. She also spearheaded a pilot project using human centered design with a broad community coalition to develop transportation solutions to help low-income pregnant mothers access prenatal care.

As the Vice President of Donor Engagement, Angel Williams will lead United Way’s comprehensive annual fundraising campaign involving corporations, foundations and individuals. In her role she will also oversee United Way’s Leader Networks including the Tocqueville Society, Women’s Leadership Council and Young Philanthropists Society. Responsible for creating donor engagement strategies, Angel will work to grow resources while building enduring relationships in the community.

“With a strong history of gaining corporate and community support, Williams will leverage her unique nonprofit and retail experience to engage local companies and individuals in working together to build a brighter future for Southern Nevada,” said Bob.

Previously, Williams served as the Chief Development Officer for Boys & Girls Clubs of Southern Nevada where she was responsible for all fundraising and donor engagement strategies. During her tenure, she procured a $5.5 million grant and brought in over $200,000 of new corporate and foundation funding.

Prior to her role at Boys & Girls Clubs, Williams developed a corporate community relations plan that effectively increased community revenue and engagement at Miracle Mile Shops. With a Bachelor of Arts, Speech Communication degree from San Diego State University, Williams has a strong marketing and communications background. Williams has also served as United Way’s Women’s Leadership Council chair and has supported United Way since 2012.
