United Way of Southern Nevada (UWSN) is proud to announce the appointments of Liz Vohwinkel as Senior Director of Tocqueville Society and Major Gifts, and Holley Risdon and Ainsley Battles as Managers of Corporate Relations.
Liz Vohwinkel rejoins United Way as Senior Director, Tocqueville Society and Major Gifts. In this role, Vohwinkel will leverage her extensive experience in fundraising, sales, marketing, and community development to help UWSN implement donor engagement strategies and achieve revenue goals.
“Liz is a recognized leader in nonprofit donor engagement who successfully connects individuals to thoughtful investments that drive community impact,” said Bob Morgan, President and CEO of UWSN. “Through her efforts, we look forward to expanding our Tocqueville Society, welcoming influential donors who are dedicated to creating a stronger Southern Nevada.”
In her previous role as Director of Philanthropy for Nevada Community Foundation, Vohwinkel fostered nonprofit partnerships, engaged executive leaders to work toward shared goals, and managed donor relations. Vohwinkel has a bachelor of science degree in public administration from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas.
As Managers of Corporate Relations, Ainsley Battles and Holley Risdon will lead the planning, organization, and implementation of corporate and employee giving campaigns at UWSN. In their roles, they will also focus on building quality relationships with donors, volunteers, and local businesses.
“Ainsley and Holley will play a critical role to help further our mission to improve the lives of those in our community by bringing companies, donors, volunteers and agencies together around innovative solutions,” said Morgan. “We look forward to their assistance as we address community needs in new ways and work united towards our vision of a community where everyone can succeed.”
After graduating from Vanderbilt University with a bachelor of science degree, Battles spent six years in the National Football League. Following his time in the NFL, Battles taught and coached for eight years in the public school system. With his passion for education, Battles is a dedicated champion of UWSN’s efforts to improve educational attainment by providing strong starts for children and students.
With a bachelor of science degree from the University of South Alabama-Mobile, Risdon has extensive experience in fundraising from her career at Bacot McCarty Foundation, an organization that serves children and educational needs in Manathe southern region of the United States. As a youth advocate, Risdon brings her fundraising expertise to UWSN to welcome and engage donors in United Way’s work to create a stronger community.
