United Way Of Southern Nevada Rebuilds For The Future With Key Fundraising And Programs New Hires

LAS VEGAS – Industry veterans join United Way of Southern Nevada (UWSN) to continue to advocate for funding to increase the services provided by UWSN throughout the community. Gregory Gudenkauf will serve as vice president of philanthropy, Brittany DuPree as the senior director of fundraising, and Susan Beaver Thompson as grant and proposal writer.

“Gregory, Brittany, and Susan come to our organization with leading experience that we could not be more grateful to have on our team,” said UWSN president and CEO, Julian High. “For more than six decades, our organization has met the needs of hundreds of thousands of community members, and we could not have done it without the funds raised by our team and the generous gifts from individuals, organizations, and funding partners.”

In his role as vice president of philanthropy, Gudenkauf will help develop fundraising plans to grow resources available to support the UWSN mission and the community needs of Southern Nevada, structuring the fund development team to implement the strategies to achieve its mission and goals. Throughout the year, he seeks to connect a greater segment of the community to the UWSN mission and expand the impact that UWSN has on the lives of people who call Southern Nevada home.

As the senior director of fundraising, DuPree will help support the fundraising team and enhance impact in the community through strategic fundraising partnerships and initiatives. She will continue to work side-by-side with the Southern Nevada community to shine a spotlight on opportunities for community investments in UWSN. Additionally, she will be responsible for increasing growth in key areas and supporting ongoing fundraising goals.

In a critical support role for the programs team, Thompson brings more than 25 years of experience and will research, write, and secure grants to support UWSN’s new and existing programs. She will expand upon the UWSN programs supporting individuals, children, and families across Southern Nevada.

“We are proud to welcome Susan to the United Way team. Her portfolio is focused on developing a comprehensive grant development program on behalf of United Way and the Southern Nevada community,” said Aaron Krolikowski, UWSN Vice President of Programs. “She brings a wealth of experience advancing mission-driven organizations, supported by decades of experience working with energy utilities, professional services, and financial companies. We are excited about the leadership Susan will bring to our communities most pressing challenges in the areas of Student Success, Workforce Development, and Community Support.”
