Golf tournament kicked off the organization’s yearlong 65th-anniversary celebration
LAS VEGAS (June 1, 2022) – United Way of Southern Nevada (UWSN) kicked off its 65th anniversary celebration with the Golf United tournament on May 26, at the Revere Golf Club and raised $126,440 for the southern Nevada community. An incredible 266 golfers enjoyed a celebratory event that featured games, prizes, raffles, and an awards luncheon emceed by Chet Buchanan of 98.5 KLUC.
“I was thrilled to join the southern Nevada community on the green as we kicked off our 65th Anniversary celebrating the impact UWSN has achieved over six and a half decades,” said UWSN president and CEO Julian High. “Thank you to our generous sponsors for making our Golf United tournament possible, we could not do what we do without your support.”
Sponsors of the Golf United tournament included: gold sponsor PNC Bank; silver sponsors Wells Enterprises, Labor First, The Korte Company, Terrace Mediterranean Bistro and Glo Brands; and hole-in-one sponsors Golden Steer Steakhouse and Las Vegas-Clark County Library District. Event proceeds will support UWSN’s mission of uniting the community to improve people’s lives and ensure the organization can continue to help one in four southern Nevadans have the opportunity to succeed.
