11.1.19 | Women's Leadership Council Suit Drive

Make a difference for women in need and donate your gently used professional suits, outfits, shoes, and accessories. Drop off items at UWSN during the month of October, run a women's clothing drive or volunteer at the WLC Suit Drive on November 1, 2019. 11.21.19 | Mayors Prayer Breakfast

Help youth build leadership skills while celebrating unity, diversity and community involvement. Elected officials and community leaders join with students and representatives from high schools. To learn more about volunteering to help with event set-up and registration, email LaurieM@uwsn.org.

November 2019 | Operation Thanksgiving Dinner

Purchase nonperishable Thanksgiving groceries for a family in need and drop them off at United Way of Southern Nevada for distribution.

December 2019 | Warm and Fuzzy Tree

Help local homeless youth keep warm during the cold winter months by donating warm clothes, gloves and blankets at UWSN during the month of December or running a "Warm and Fuzzy" drive at your organization.

March 2020 | Nevada Reading Week

Join us and help inspire the love of reading for local children. Tell stories and read to students during this week of engaging students to promote learning through literacy!

April 2020 | Speed Mentoring

Inspire the next generation of leaders by mentoring local high school students who will become the first in their families to go to college. Share your stories, lessons learned and advice for the future during a Speed Mentoring event!

May 2020 | Stamp Out Hunger

Stamp Out Hunger brings the community together to help underserved families in Southern Nevada by donating food during the nation's largest food drive. Drop off nonperishable items at UWSN during the first two weeks of May or run a food drive at your organization.

June 2020 | Stuff the Bus

Help local students and teachers start the school year ready for success with essential school supplies! Stuff the Bus is an effort to rally the community to assist the most underserved children in our local schools, as well as their teachers, by donating backpacks and school supplies before the new school year begins. Last year, 582 backpacks stuffed with school supplies were distributed to students at local elementary and middle schools.

10.2.20  | Day of Caring

Mark your calendar for the 5th annual Day of Caring, Southern Nevada's largest one-day volunteer event that embraces the collaboration of organizations and volunteers across Southern Nevada. Volunteer teams of all sizes are welcome to join us and make a difference at local community organizations that need your help. Last year, 1,106 volunteers completed 52 projects at over 30 community organizations.
