Women’s Leadership Council Fall Suit Drive Collects 10,128 Professional Items

United Way of Southern Nevada’s Women’s Leadership Council’s (WLC) 11th Annual “Women’s Fall Suit Drive” on Friday, November 2 was a complete success with an incredible 10,128 items and 1,676 women’s professional outfits assembled at the NV Energy parking lot. Donations will benefit women who are participating in back to work programs and need professional clothing to wear to interviews and future job opportunities.

WLC collected new and gently-used, clean professional attire including suits, dresses, pants and tops on hangers and jewelry, shoes, belts, scarves and handbags to assist women in need. The drive helps women prepare for career opportunities and gain confidence to succeed during an interview and in the workplace.

Donations will benefit United Way partner agencies with back to work programs for women. The agencies include Dress for Success of Southern Nevada, Goodwill Career Connections, HopeLink of Southern Nevada, S.A.F.E. House, SafeNest, The Shade Tree, and Work Opportunities Readiness Center of HELP of Southern Nevada.
